Summer Treats to Keep Cool

This week the weather in Kentucky has been very summer-like and I am loving it! Some of my favorite things about summer are the clothes, the outdoor activities, and the food! I’m looking forward to homemade popsicles with my girls. We have narrowed down our favorites to make this summer.

rainbow-ice-popsIzzy’s Choice: Rainbow Popsicle

This is a quick but colorful popsicle that combines some of her favorite things! Using only Sprite and Rainbow Berry Airhead Extremes Sour Candy you will create a popsicle that looks adorable and taste like happiness.

  • Sprite or Clear Lemon Lime Sode
  • (24) Airheads Xtremems Sour Candy, Rainbow Berry Strips
  1. Take each candy strip and twist it a few times so they candy will stick together.

  3. Fill the popsicle mold with two strips of candy
  4. Slowly pour the soda into the molds allowing the fizz to settle
  5. Freeze for at least four hours.

Amber’s Choice: Mango & Pineapple Ice Pops

  • 1 1/2 cup of diced frozen Mango
  • 1 1/2 cup diced frozen Pineapple
  • 2 cups Pineapple Juice
  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into popsicle mold
  3. Freeze for at least six hours
