Mothers Day Gift Guide

Mothers Day is quickly approaching, so I figured it would be a great time to post some great gift ideas for those very deserving mommas. After having babies I understand more than before how important it is to make my own mom feel so loved and appreciated.

The best way to show true appreciate for your mom is to spend time with her. I know that is top of my list this year. Luckily I live only 80 miles from my mom, so spending time with her won’t be an issue. For those of you who don’t have the luxury send your mom a little care package. Juice Talk With Isabella

In honor of Isabella turning seven, I’m taking a second to celebrate the beautiful, hardworking, intelligent, and motivated person that she is. For those of you that know her you know that her presence can light up any room, she has the most charming southern personality and the perfect amount of sass!  Continue reading “Juice Talk With Isabella”

Soccer Snack For The Win.

My girls are my world and I take an immense amount of pride in how Dustin and I raise them. If you asked Isabella, “What does momma tell you every day?” she would say “be the best me I can be.”

I use that exact phrase in every aspect of my life, work, home, cooking, cleaning, driving, being a momma, being a wife, being a friend, anything! Thank goodness Pinterest came around and has a million creative options for me to be the best!

This weekend I had the pleasure of being snack mom for Isabella’s soccer team, so I, of course, headed to Pinterest for some inspiration. Since it was an 8:30 a.m. game we have decided to go with “Banana Split Bites“. A nice refreshing fruit snack after a hard fought victory! Continue reading “Soccer Snack For The Win.”

Juice Talk with Isabella

Today’s Juice Talk took place during craft time instead of coffee time. The Kentucky Derby is quickly approaching and Isabella has to create a Derby hat for school. We headed to our local Hobby Lobby to gather supplies. While we ventured through the aisles waiting for an indecisive six year old to make her selections, we couldn’t help but IMG_0382be distracted by another child running wild.

Isabella looked up at me and said, “momma, you would whoop me!”

You are a Super Hero

In today’s world, it’s so easy to lose sight of who you really are, to forget what you really believe in and to remember to stand up for what’s right. I know I struggle daily with giving myself some credit. I have to remind myself that it’s ok not to be perfect. That I’m not a failure because I had to miss my daughter’s school event because I had an important deadline at work.I tell myself often, “You are good enough, keep it up.”

I learned early in my role as an employee, mommy, and wife, that some “me” time was imperative if I was going to be successful.  Continue reading “You are a Super Hero”

Juice Talk with Isabella

Thursday’s are my favorite because Isabella and I have coffee dates at our local coffee shop before making our way to dance class.

During our last date we got to talking about the umbilical hernia repair surgery I’m having in a few weeks, which led to questions about insurance and medical bills.

This week on juice Talk with Isabella: Medical Bills

You mean to tell me that you have to pay that much money for surgery? What do they really do with all that money?

I think you should just have to pay a little bit. Like is you have $25, then you only pay that, but if you have like $100, then you pay that.

Baby Announcement Made, Now What?

Hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing Easter. Over the holiday weekend, I saw 13 baby announcements on my social media feed. Such a happy, joyous and sometimes overwhelming roller coaster the next few months can be.

You’ve made your adorable pregnancy announcement to the world, but now what? The following items, in my opinion, are a must to have in order to get through the pregnancy.  Continue reading “Baby Announcement Made, Now What?”

Juice Talk with Isabella

My six year old is without a doubt one of the smartest people I know. We constantly are having real talks about life and she always has the best advice.

Each week Isabella will share some answers and explanations to many of life’s pressing questions.

This week on Juice Talk with Isabella: Taxes

Taxes are very silly and I don’t think I want to do that. Doesn’t President Trump live in the White House and have airplanes? It doesn’t make sense that he would need more money.

Wait a minute, so if something says it’s $5.00 then it’s actually like $5 and some change!? That is too confusing. Why don’t they just list the real price so then I know how much monies I need.

Surviving sports season with a baby.

Spring is my favorite time of year for so many reasons. Patio sitting, grilling, flowers blooming, bourbon on ice and the sports season starts.

In years past I only needed to bring my chair and BKR bottle as a spectator to these games.

My oh, my have things changed for this season. Having a 9-month-old very active on the go little one has forced me to create a much stronger game plan for this season. I decided a ‘survival tote‘ was a necessity to keep myself, Hadley and any other spectator at bay during games. Continue reading “Surviving sports season with a baby. “
