This week the weather in Kentucky has been very summer-like and I am loving it! Some of my favorite things about summer are the clothes, the outdoor activities, and the food! I’m looking forward to homemade popsicles with my girls. We have narrowed down our favorites to make this summer. Continue reading “Summer Treats to Keep Cool”
Hadley is now 10 months old, how did that even happen!? I have been back to work for 7 months and I am so proud of Hadley and I for sticking with our breastfeeding journey.
I will be honest its the hardest journey I’ve been through, it’s so time-consuming, stressful at times and can be very lonely. I’m blessed to work for a company that fully supports my decision to breastfeed and they don’t question my breaks to pump. By trial and error, I’ve learned a few tips that have made the journey a little more enjoyable. Continue reading “Breastfeeding is hard!”
Isabella goes to the YMCA every day after school for a few hours. The program director over her location was talking with me about a few insubordinate employees. I couldn’t wait to discuss the issue with Isabella.

Throwing parties is one of my favorite hobbies! I find so much enjoyment in the planning and executing aspect of parties. Each year for my kids birthdays I pick a theme and plan all aspects of their parties around that theme. Now that Isabella is old enough, she gets to pick her own theme!
Her theme of choice this year was a football tailgate party! The weather wasn’t completely on our side for a nice tailgate, we did, however, make the best of it! Signage, pennant string banners, and food were our focus this year. Continue reading “Tailgate Themed Birthday Party”
Mothers Day is quickly approaching, so I figured it would be a great time to post some great gift ideas for those very deserving mommas. After having babies I understand more than before how important it is to make my own mom feel so loved and appreciated.
The best way to show true appreciate for your mom is to spend time with her. I know that is top of my list this year. Luckily I live only 80 miles from my mom, so spending time with her won’t be an issue. For those of you who don’t have the luxury send your mom a little care package. Continue reading “Mothers Day Gift Guide”
In honor of Isabella turning seven, I’m taking a second to celebrate the beautiful, hardworking, intelligent, and motivated person that she is. For those of you that know her you know that her presence can light up any room, she has the most charming southern personality and the perfect amount of sass! Continue reading “Juice Talk With Isabella”
On May 5, 2010, my oldest daughter, Isabella was born. It was a day filled with so many emotions and each year I am so thankful I was chosen to be her momma. Isabella and I just so happen to share a birthday so most years my birthday gets pushed to the back burner. I complain sometimes but really I love sharing my day with my girl. This year though I want to share a few items that make me a happier version of myself. Continue reading “A Few Of My Favorite Things.”
My girls are my world and I take an immense amount of pride in how Dustin and I raise them. If you asked Isabella, “What does momma tell you every day?” she would say “be the best me I can be.”
I use that exact phrase in every aspect of my life, work, home, cooking, cleaning, driving, being a momma, being a wife, being a friend, anything! Thank goodness Pinterest came around and has a million creative options for me to be the best!
This weekend I had the pleasure of being snack mom for Isabella’s soccer team, so I, of course, headed to Pinterest for some inspiration. Since it was an 8:30 a.m. game we have decided to go with “Banana Split Bites“. A nice refreshing fruit snack after a hard fought victory! Continue reading “Soccer Snack For The Win.”
Today’s Juice Talk took place during craft time instead of coffee time. The Kentucky Derby is quickly approaching and Isabella has to create a Derby hat for school. We headed to our local Hobby Lobby to gather supplies. While we ventured through the aisles waiting for an indecisive six year old to make her selections, we couldn’t help but be distracted by another child running wild.
Isabella looked up at me and said, “momma, you would whoop me!”

In today’s world, it’s so easy to lose sight of who you really are, to forget what you really believe in and to remember to stand up for what’s right. I know I struggle daily with giving myself some credit. I have to remind myself that it’s ok not to be perfect. That I’m not a failure because I had to miss my daughter’s school event because I had an important deadline at work.I tell myself often, “You are good enough, keep it up.”
I learned early in my role as an employee, mommy, and wife, that some “me” time was imperative if I was going to be successful. Continue reading “You are a Super Hero”
