Summer is all about simple, fresh and quick meals! The sooner I can get out of the kitchen the better. Dustin typically handles the grilling while I take care of the side dishes. The Phillips family has narrowed down some of our family favorites that we plan on making all summer long. Continue reading “Savory Summer Side Dishes”
Being a busy mom can easily become an excuse to cut workouts out of your routine. I however strongly encourage you to stick with it. Exercise has been linked to fighting everything from cancer to diabetes. I’m a full-time mommy and event manager that commutes over an hour one way, but have found that making my workouts a priority is a must for my attitude and well-being. I have found that I am setting a better example for my girls by being committed to my health and wellness.
You don’t have to spend hours in the gym, you truly don’t have time for that. Supersetting my workouts has become the most successful tactic for me. Supersetting is when you switch back and forth between two different exercises. My muscles react better and I get through my workouts more quickly.
I am happy to share with you some go to plans for me. Continue reading “Be a Mom That Works Out.”
This week has been such a fun and busy week for Isabella! She’s had parties, celebration days, award assemblies and field day. I will be honest its the hardest journey I’ve been through, it’s so time-consuming, stressful at times and can be very lonely. I’m blessed to work for a company that fully supports my decision to breastfeed and they don’t question my breaks to pump. By trial and error, I’ve learned a few tips that have made the journey a little more enjoyable. Continue reading “Breastfeeding is hard!”
Isabella goes to the YMCA every day after school for a few hours. The program director over her location was talking with me about a few insubordinate employees. I couldn’t wait to discuss the issue with Isabella.

Throwing parties is one of my favorite hobbies! I find so much enjoyment in the planning and executing aspect of parties. Each year for my kids birthdays I pick a theme and plan all aspects of their parties around that theme. Now that Isabella is old enough, she gets to pick her own theme!
Her theme of choice this year was a football tailgate party! The weather wasn’t completely on our side for a nice tailgate, we did, however, make the best of it! Signage, pennant string banners, and food were our focus this year. Continue reading “Tailgate Themed Birthday Party”
